Managing Candidates
The Candidates tab is where you manage everyone applying for the role.
Adding Candidates
Add Manually
Click Add Candidate and enter:
- First name and last name
- Phone number (required - must be a valid mobile number)
- Email address (optional, required for email invitations)
Upload CSV
Click Upload CSV to bulk import candidates. Your CSV needs columns for:
first_namelast_namephone_numberemail(optional)
Download the template from the upload modal for the correct format.
JobAdder Sync
If connected to JobAdder, candidates are automatically synced when they're moved to the ScoutUp stage in your JobAdder workflow.
Test Candidates
Click Create Test Candidate to add yourself as a test. Test candidates:
- Can receive invitations even when the job is inactive
- Let you experience the interview as a candidate would
- Are marked with a "Test" badge
- Should be deleted before going live
Candidate Table
The table shows:
- Name: Click to edit candidate details
- Email: Their email address
- Phone: Their phone number (warning icon if invalid)
- Interviews: Status of their interview (Not Started, In Progress, Completed)
- Document Evaluations: Status of document reviews if configured
- JobAdder Status: Their status in JobAdder (if connected)
Bulk Actions
Select multiple candidates using checkboxes to:
- Send Text Invites: SMS invitations to all selected
- Send Email Invites: Email invitations to all selected
- Evaluate: Generate evaluations for completed interviews
Individual Actions
Click the dropdown on each candidate row to:
- Send individual invitations
- View interview details and transcript
- Edit candidate information
- Delete the candidate
Phone Number Validation
Candidates must have valid phone numbers to receive invitations and participate in interviews. If a phone number is invalid or missing, you'll see a warning. Edit the candidate to fix it.
Search
Use the search box to find candidates by name, email, or phone number.
